We believe that real change in education starts with bold, innovative ideas from the classroom. That’s why we created a space where visionary educators can access the support and funding they need to bring their ideas to life.
Through microgrants and startup-style programming, we empower teachers to drive meaningful change in their communities, improve student outcomes, and showcase the transformative power of education led by educators.
The Educators’ Fund fuels this work—making it possible to offer microgrants and run accelerator programs that support the teachers shaping the future of learning.
What is the Educators’ Fund?
What we’re building
Green Accelerator Fund
Every school year, we launch an open call to support a cohort of teachers catalysts focused on ecological stewardship within their communities. This fund allows teachers from anywhere in the world to secure the resources required to put their idea into practice.
Teachers follow a simple submission process where they share their impactful project ideas, which are quickly reviewed by our team. Selected teachers are invited to join the cohort, receive a microgrant, take part in the accelerator, and receive personalized support to materialize their ideas.
We are happy to run this accelerator in partnership with The Earth Prize.
Challenge Funds
Teachers are innovating in many areas. To support even more teachers, The Educators’ Lab partners with both educational and non-educational stakeholders to launch specific thematic or regional incubators or accelerators aimed at building partnerships with teachers on specific issues of impact.
Topics of interest for 2026 include:
Reimagining Civics
Planetary Action
Sustainable Finance
Well-being
Futures
Supporting youth changemaking
How Does an Accelerator Work?
Call for Applications
Any teacher with an aligned impactful idea for their students, school or community is welcome to apply. We look for ideas that long-term, sustainable, and create meaningful change for students. The accelerator takes places during the life of your academic year.
Kick-off and Launch
An introductory call helps us connect with teachers, learn more about their projects, and tell their story. Microgrants of500euros are awarded at the start of the academic year. Teachers can choose to receive the funds directly or through a partner.
On-demand coaching
Projects vary, which is why we do our best to support teachers individually with their various needs. We offer at least one hour per month of coaching support via check-ins, storytelling sessions, or collaborative opportunities to best support teachers with the implementation of their projects.
Storytelling Check-points
We love getting to know the teachers in our cohorts and helping to tell their impactful stories. Not only do these check- points help us evaluate projects and impact, they help us demonstrate to the world the power of teachers and the importance of their work.
Wrap-up & Sharing
We try to provide opportunities to share their work and grow their initiatives. Taking time to showcase projects spreads ideas around what’s possible and inspires more teachers and classrooms with ways to take action.
